The proposed project will construct turning lanes and signalize various intersections on a three-mile stretch of Lincoln Way, the main artery through White Oak Borough, which handles 22,000 vehicles daily.
The project has been placed on the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission's (SPC) 12 year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). In addition, The White Oak Local Development Corporation has received a CDBG from the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development to conduct a Commercial Revitalization project along the Lincoln Way corridor. The revitalization project will include sidewalks, decorative lighting, green spaces, and other pedestrian amenities.
The proposed plans can be reviewed at the White Oak Borough Municipal Building or by visiting the Hanson Design Group, Ltd. Web Site - White Oak Business District Web Page.
