MEETING SCHEDULE

The Borough of White Oak hereby gives notice of its 2023 Meetings. All meetings will be held in the White Oak Borough Municipal Building located at 2280 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131. Workshop meetings will consist of discussions regarding general Borough business. Formal actions will take place at our Regular Scheduled Council meetings. Council may address and vote on any issue(s) that is brought up at any of the meetings which are considered public sessions. All meetings are open to the public except Executive Sessions.

White Oak Borough Council
Council Workshops/Caucuses, Executive sessions will be held the second Monday and the third Monday of each month. Council Workshops are held the third Monday of each month and begin at 6:45 pm. The Regular Meeting is held the third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. All Workshops/Caucuses and Regular Meetings are open to the public. Council may take official action at any meeting which is opened to the public. Executive Sessions are closed to the public.

White Oak Recreation Board
If necessary, the Recreation Board will meet the 2nd Thursday of each month (2/9, 3/9, 4/13, 5/11, 6/8, 7/13, 8/10, 9/14, 10/12, 11/9, 12/14) at of each month at 7:00 PM.

White Oak Borough Planning Commission*
If necessary, the Planning Commission will meet the 1st Thursday of each month (2/2, 3/2, 4/6, 5/4, 6/1, 7/6, 8/3, 9/7, 10/5, 11/2, 12/7) at 7:30 PM for the public session with a closed session held at 6:30PM. Call the Borough Office at 412 672-9727 to confirm the agenda.

White Oak Borough Zoning Hearing Board*
If necessary, the Zoning Hearing Board will meet the 4th Thursday of each month excluding November and December, which will be the 3rd Thursday (2/23, 3/23, 4/27, 5/25, 6/22, 7/27, 8/24, 9/28, 10/26, 11/16, 12/21) at 7:00 PM for the public session with a closed session held at 6:30 PM. Call the Borough Office at 412 672-9727 to check on the agenda.

Members of the public are invited to attend these public meetings.

*Contact the Code Department at 412 672-9727 Ext. 231 to see if there are any items on the agenda for the Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board, as meetings will only be held if there are items on the agenda.

White Oak's Best Kept Secret!

At 9:30 PM on May 30, 2007 White Oak's best kept secret was born. Weighing in at 28 pounds at birth, this new cria (baby llama) is black with a white chin and stockings. He is the last son of the stud father, Sir Magicman and dame mother Ms. Fabregé. This is the first black llama born at The Fantasy Llama Farm in 20 years. He resembles grandma Ms. Bodacious.

The llamas at the farm are cared for by the members of the only 4H program in the United States where each member has their own llama. The club meets on Sundays at 5:00 PM and is always looking for new members.

This new baby will be registered with the International Llama Association (ILA). Donations to help with the care of the Llamas at The Fantasy Llama Farm are always welcome.
